Replacing Pads

Cleaning

To i nstall new pads, fi rst i nsert i nner pad as

shown. Fig. 98

Note: Spring should lightly clip onto the small

post in the center of the piston and push

inward.

Usi ng the 2.5mm Hex wrench i nserted i nto (A), replace

the pad i nto the housi ng. At the same ti me, turni ng

counter-clockwi se, i nsert a flathead screwdri ver to push

the pad. Fig. 99

Install outer pad by droppi ng the spri ng si de over

the small post. Push upward unti l the spri ng cli ps

li ghtly onto the post.

Return cali pers to the axle bracket usi ng

Hex bolts (A) & (B) and Hex wrench.

Fig. 101 & 102 Make sure Hex bolts are

securely ti ghtened.

Test brakes for effecti veness. Brake levers

should move approxi mately 25mm.

To avoi d damage to the brake seals, use only alcohol or water when cleani ng the

cali per parts.

Note: A brake system needs some

time to break in. Initially, the

rubbing of the pad on the disc

may cause some noise.
